Without a doubt Lindos is beautiful. Providing the perfect ambience for your wedding. Outlined here are just a few location options for your wedding ceremony – an evocative blend of romantic, enchanting and intoxicating locations.

St Paul’s Chapel at St Paul’s Bay, Lindos


The Greek Orthodox chapel of St Paul’s is in a truly romantic setting just south of Lindos and just a few minuets walk from the village.

Set at the foot of the cliffs that make up part of St Paul’s Bay this picturesque chapel is tucked away at the end of its tiny beach, within sight of the Acropolis of Lindos which is just across the bay.

This is one of the most popular venues for weddings in Lindos and offers a fantastic backdrop for your photographs. Situated in the bay as it is, you even have the option of an unusual and romantic arrival by boat!

The Greek Orthodox Church state that St Paul the apostle was shipwrecked just outside of Lindos and found shelter here. Hence the name of the chapel.

St George Pachymachiotes Chapel, Lindos


St George’s is a fine example of the classic and traditional cross styled Greek chapel and overlooks Lindos Bay with views towards the village square and main beach.

Situated as it is within the boundaries of Lindos village itself, you will be able to experience a lovely Greek Wedding custom and walk through the narrow whitewashed alleys in the village to the chapel. In traditional style you can be accompanied by our local Greek musicians.

This little gem is a relatively new ceremony location for civil weddings in Lindos. Its dramatic location directly beneath the Acropolis has a marvellous panoramic view across Lindos Bay and presents a superb setting for your photographs.

In addition to the above locations in Lindos the Registrar is happy to consider alternative locations in which you can marry. These include hotels in the surrounding areas as well as the resorts below.
