Marriage Legal Requirements by Infinity weddings Lindos Rhodes - Wedding planner Lindos Rhodes, Greece

We got engaged in December 2009 and didn't start planning our wedding until January 2010. We wanted to get married in early summer so were faced with a lot of organisation. We e-mailed a number of wedding planners throughout the Greek islands and Infinity Weddings were the most responsive and the most helpful at that stage in our planning. We therefore decided to meet with Chrissi whilst she was in England and we did that on 30 January. Chrissi was nothing short of excellent. She went through a questionnaire with us so that she found out everything that she needed to know for our wedding day and she had samples and photographs of everything that we were interested in. The brochures that we downloaded from the Infinity website were also extremely useful.

We had never visited Lindos and so were naturally worried about whether all would go according to plan. Chrissi was always on hand to allay any worries that we had and she also put us in touch with previous couples who had got married in Lindos and they were more than happy to answer any questions that we had.

In the run up to the wedding, Chrissi kept us fully updated with the costs associated with the wedding and we had a spreadsheet which set out everything that we had asked for along with the costs and a timetable for the day. This document was brilliant as it meant that we had all the information that we needed in one place.

We chose the platinum package and it was worth every penny. To pay for the items individually in the UK would have cost us significantly more. For every element, Chrissi sent us photographs so that we knew exactly what to expect and so that we could make changes if we needed to. She was more than happy to change anything that we wanted to and she really went the extra mile with all of our requests (some of which were quite unusual!!).

We arrived in Rhodes 4 days before the wedding and the next morning we met with Chrissi and the girls from the Infinity florist. Every tiny detail for the wedding day was discussed and everyone was extremely helpful (even though they were preparing for a flower festival in Lindos which meant they had to work long into the night!). Our colour theme was baby pink and my husband was very concerned about everything being 'too pink'! The Infinity team were fantastic and made sure that he was happy with everything and changed things where they could see that he was in danger of being 'pinked out'! We then visited St Paul's bay and the Lindos Memories hotel where we had our reception. Then it was time for the hair and make up trials!

We had finished with the wedding preparations by early afternoon that day and we had the three and a half days before the wedding to relax with our family and friends with no stress at all (thanks to the fantastic Infinity team!).

On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly (well if it didn't, we didn't know about it thanks to Chrissi and her team!). We would not have changed a single thing about the wedding day. The Infinity team were extremely professional, helpful and really went the extra mile. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We are hoping to visit Lindos again for our wedding anniversary and we will definitely be visiting the wonderful Infinity team whilst we are there!

From the start Chrissi answered all our queries very quickly, she always made us feel like we were important even a year before our wedding when she was busy organising other weddings.

Chrissi took care of everything from start to finish, and nothing too much trouble for her and our day ran like clockwork thanks to all her efforts. Even when we arrived in Rhodes we had a few problems with broken table decorations Chrissi and Zoe quickly sorted out alternatives for us. In the January we were met by Chrissi in the UK who discussed all the details with us from guests, to colour of flowers, table decorations, cake, menus and venues in detail. Information about all the legalities and the instructions were easy to follow.

Chrissi kept us informed all the way through the process, checking with us all the way.

Everything from start to finish went without the slightest hitch. The church was decorated with beautiful flowers as we had arranged and my bouquet that Zoe had prepared was gorgeous.

Chrissi showed true dedication to the importance of our special day and ensured that both of us truly felt special and her professional approach meant that everything went perfectly.

As for the "Wedding", we had the most fabulous time from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I'm sure people do manage to arrange their weddings themselves, but, I'm so pleased that I didn't attempt it. I would've cracked by the time I'd reached the aisle! Having you to arrange, coordinate, reassure me with my paperwork issues, then even rearrange at times, bridge the language barrier and even remember water at the service was awesome, we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you! You made the day so smooth and effortless and had a real calming effect on us all, especially me, and it was so nice just not having to worry about anything other than myself and the kids, and knowing that everything was taken care of.

The boat cruise was amazing to, very romantic going from the beach bar straight on to the boat before dinner, it was worth every penny!! Our holiday. Our reception at the Odeyssea was definitely the right choice for us and we loved it. The table we had was on its own level because we were a small party which was perfect, and the flowers from the chapel you put around the table were lovely. The meal & the service fabulous, the waiters were very attentive and relaxed. Remembering it all, thinking wow what an awesome wedding we had, it was everything we wanted it to be, perfect! The smooth running of it and the calmness of the day were solely down to you guys. Thank you so much.

We are a couple from Austria, who come to Rhodes since about 20 years.
When we were on holiday in April last year a Greek friend told us about the opportunity to marry in the beautiful town of Lindos. So we checked the internet and were happy to find the HP of Infinity wedding and -most of all- lucky to get in touch with Chrissie, I tell u why:

Back in Austria, we checked the necessary documents and sent it to the agency.
Each time we had some questions (and u can imagine there were a lot of), the answer came immediately and the information was helpful and - more important - absolutely correct.
Due to this, we were able to make our preparations in 3 months and the next 3 months we had nothing to do then to be in pleasant anticipation for our marriage.
Of course, we were a little nervous about the fact, that we were committed to whatever Chrissi was doing in Lindos, she had our instructions (about music, flowers and all the stuff…) - but u never know if it all happens like u want it to, until the moment where u come there.
But - like I wrote before- we had a good feeling about the agency and when we finally came there in October all our hopes and dreams did not just come true - they were excelled!

We came in the morning to our hotel and after 4 hours Chrissi called and visited us there (it was in Lardos, a few miles from Lindos away, so we were glad not to leave our hotel and go there
She gave us the instructions about the ceremony.
After our meeting we knew that everything will work the way we planned it and 3 days later we really had "the most beautiful day in our lives" -and Chrissi was to "blame" !

We had a wonderful ceremony at St. Paul's on the most beautiful little beach we´ve ever seen and even our Greek gumbaros (the groomsmen) were deeply impressed.
And to mention the fears about the conveyor belt mentality: If the bride of the couple who married before us would not had been 15min late, I don´t think we even would have seen them. Besides, in each "normal" chapel or register office you have to reckon that u will meet some other couples who also marry before or after you - but it never will be in a beautiful location like this one.

So I can tell u from the bottom of my heart that we always will think at the wonderful wedding we had there - and there was not one single moment where we didn´t feel comfortable and well cared from our agency.

Both Kate and I agree having the opportunity to look forward to the wedding without "stressing" about planning was a great advantage to Infinity weddings.

We both highly valued the initial London meeting, where some of our sketchy ideas could be transformed into defined and realistic requirements. The ability to utilise Chrissi's experience and knowledge of Lindos aided this process tremendously.

Beyond the meeting, we felt assured that Infinity Weddings were on track for delivering the perfect day. The day it's self lived up to expectation and (although biased) can honestly say it was easily the best wedding that we have attended!

We found St Pails bay to be a particularly romantic scene and a place now that will be eternally close to our hearts.

It was clear the day was planned with high level of precision. The ceremony, champagne cruise and reception were all of a high quality and thoroughly appreciated by all.

Lindos Mare Hotel - Reception

The Lindos Mare Hotel was the ideal location for us. The function room itself affords stunning views across the bay of Vlicha which was well received with a "pre-wedding breakfast drink". The meal itself was of a high standard. You very much have the feeling that you are being looked after at the Mare. The staff are very helpful and will ensure that the experience is a pleasure.

The band was also great - the perfect way to finish the big day. Everyone was attempting some Greek dancing later on that night - very entertaining!

I will happily give an honest opinion about everything and anything to anyone on a one to one basis, so rather than go on forums (which I can understand being one of those that had the same anxieties when we first looked into booking our wedding) I can offer first hand opinions, based on fact and honesty about our choices and how it worked for us.

I'm so so glad we chose you, and your team. You were the right choice and I would recommend not only you, but getting married at St Pauls Chapel, in beautiful Lindos to anyone.

My only regret was not having the photographer - and even though we had some lovely pictures (thanks to you telling us where to stand lol) - I wish I had booked your recommended photographer... and maybe even, the video guy!

We had some pretty particular ideas for our wedding which would not have become reality without you. You were always there at the end of an email or made yourself available for face to face visits when we were in the area. This meant that we could bounce our ideas off you, and go through the very detailed plans as we got closer to the big day.

You and Zoe really understood our vision for the day in terms of the decorations and flowers both at the ceremony and reception venue. The hairdresser you recommended understood all our 'hair needs' brilliantly and was such a calming influence on the day.

Bearing all this in mind, the thing we really appreciated was just how many little things you and your team did on the day to make it so perfect for us. Whether it was lighting the candles at the reception as the light began to fade, looking after a poorly guest, providing a hanky for the groom's brow in the afternoon heat, or having water on hand for the thirsty bride, your experience of wedding days in Lindos was what really made a difference.

We chose Ambrosia after 3 years of previous dining there, knowing that George & co were so passionate about their restaurant. The menu that George provided us with was perfect for everybody and plenty of options available. The service they provide there is first class and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The venue was dressed to perfection and rounded our day off perfectly.

We have been overwhelmed by how pleased everyone has been that we got married and they are all amazed we were able to keep it our 'secret'. Your services Chrissi, were absolutely marvelous, our wedding was described by our family and friends as a "little fairytale wedding". The flowers were beautiful and from getting to St.Pauls Bay right up to the reception was just perfect. We cannot stop going on about the whole day and watching our dvd is just fantastic. The location of St. Pauls Bay it just breathtaking and so romantic.

After meeting you at your shop I just felt completely relaxed it was wonderful to leave everything in your hands, to think I was sunbathing by the pool on my wedding day morning, something I wouldn’t of been able to do if I had got married in England. I was so relaxed and confident to leave everything in your hands. I would also like to say a big thank you to Nick at Nefeli's in Pefkos, he made our reception so special, the table setting was wonderful and the meal, everybody commented how gorgeous the food was and what a wonderful service. What can I say, I would recommend Infinity Wto anyone wanting to get married in Rhodes and please use Nefeli's for your reception, just brilliant. The wedding was much more than we expected, and Pefkos a wonderful little place. Stephanie our daughter loved it so much we have promised we will be back next summer.
